When you buy a new or used car, you want one that will retain its value for as long as possible. That way, you don’t feel like you are just throwing your money away. But it can be difficult for the average person to determine the long-term value of a car.
That’s why ALG, an industry authority on the eventual resale value of used cars every year, publishes their list of the brands are more likely to retain their value in the coming years.
This year ALG, through their partner TrueCar, just released their annual awards for the brands that are mostly likely to retain their vehicle value over time.
The winners are Toyota for mainstream brands, and Infinity for luxury brands. What this means to consumers is that ALG and TrueCar believe that if you buy either brand today, they are likely to be worth more three years from now than similar cars made by other manufacturers.
Since many people like to sell their cars every few years, this is good news for anyone who just bought a Toyota or Infinity!
For people looking to buy a used car, it means they should seriously consider both brands because if they want to trade up down the line, they will get more value.
